Five Months Old!

I am five months old. Not today, a few days ago, but we've discussed this already, so get over it.
I am a big boy now, so I am eating big boy food (rice cereal) while I sit in my big boy chair. The first couple of times it was "eating" but the last couple of times it was eating. Mommy and Daddy were so encouraged, that they bought me oatmeal in addition to the rice cereal so I have some variety. As I am sitting here typing this, I am also eating my feet for the first time. Yesterday we moved the clocks forward (what a strange concept), and I stayed up way past my normal bedtime.
But I have been sleeping really well, which makes Mommy and Daddy very happy.

I have been very chatty. It's mostly when the three (or four) of us are alone, but sometimes I talk when other people are around. My letter of the day yesterday was "B."

I have been hearing Mommy and Daddy talk about going to Bubbie and Zaydie's house for Passover. I am excited to see lots of people that I have not seen for a long time, and to meet some people for the first time.

Visit with Nonnie

Well, I might be a little late with this post, but it's only because it took a while to recover from such a fun long weekend with Nonnie! It had been so long since we had seen each other, so we tried to make up for it with lots of quality time. Luckily Mommy and Daddy were just fine with that. I hear they got to go see a movie and have 2 nice dinners out without me, but I barely noticed they were gone! I'm so excited to go visit Nonnie (and Poppy too this time!) in Florida in April!

I keep getting bigger, and I am still such a good boy. Mommy and Daddy brag about what a good sleeper I am, but for some reason they go find some wood to bang on every time they say so. I still love going to school too. My teachers are so nice, I always have big smiles for them, and I always get good "report cards." I even brought home my very first art project this week! Too bad our refrigerator isn't magnetic, I bet it would look nice there.

Daddy has been working a lot lately, so I don't get to see him too much during the week. Luckily we have been having guys day out every Sunday for a few weeks now, having lunch and going to class with some other babies and their Daddies. This week is our last week, so I am kinda bummed about that. What I can't figure out it why Mommy seems kinda bummed too. She doesn't even get to come, she just stays home and "relaxes." How boring!

Until next time...

Can you believe I am 4 months old?

Neither can my parents! Boy has the time flown by (I guess that means we've been having fun, right?)
Today was a very busy day! First, I went to yoga with Mommy. We haven't been for a while, but I liked it. I was extremely chatty and smiley, and even made the teacher laugh with my funny sounds. Then we went to a play group with 3 other babies. I tried out some new toys and drooled all over everything. Next, I went to the doctor and found out I am over 15 pounds, and 26 inches...who needs the gym, Mommy can just lift me! I was also very brave and got more shots to make sure I don't get sick when I am older. When I got home I was pretty exhausted (understandably so) so I slept the rest of the day away, which gave Mommy such much appreciated relaxing time too.
I'm still having fun at school 3 days a week, and my teachers love me--of course. But Mommy is on vacation next week, and I know we have some fun stuff planned, so I am really looking forward to that.

First Day At School

Yesterday was my first day at school. I had a great day and was such a good boy. Mommy and Daddy woke up really early in the morning to make sure that I was all settled in and had everything that I needed. I played with a lot of new toys, met some new friends, heard new songs and read new books. It was a great first day - I even wore a brand new "first day of school" outfit. Even though I am sad to be away from Mommy and Daddy, I am excited to go back tomorrow for another day of fun.

Today I had another day of "new." Mommy and I started another class together. There are 6 other moms and babies and I am one of the oldest! I think we will both have a lot of fun.

I really miss Daddy now that he is back at work, and I know that he misses me too. We were so lucky to hang out together for a whole month!

I am 3 Months Old Today

I have had quite a few playdates recently. I met Asher for the very first time and played with Ethan, Ryan and Maxwell again. Now that I'm a big boy (the doctor told me that I weigh 13 lbs and 9.9 oz) , Mommy and Daddy are okay going out without me for a short while. Last night Mommy and Daddy left me with Maxwell and his parents and I was such a good boy. We had lots of fun, and so did Mommy and Daddy.

I have been laughing and smiling up a storm, although I usually turn it off once a camera comes out. Those who want to see it will have to visit me in person, though I am usually the smiliest when it is just the four of us.

Till next time...

Happy New Year!

My favorite part of 2010 so far is my daddy staying home with me for a whole month! I know I am a very lucky boy (but so is he). I made a New Years resolution to start sleeping in my crib at night, and I have already achieved it. Not only that, I love it so much, I have been sleeping all night! It's great for everyone. I have also recently decided the world is a hilarious place, and have been laughing all the time! Sometimes I laugh so hard, I give myself the hiccups! I will ask my dad to post a video he took of me laughing and "talking" so you can see for yourself.

Until next time...

Lots to catch up on!

It has been an exciting and busy last few weeks! Let's recap:
  • I turned 2 months old!
  • The doctor told me I weighed 12 pounds and was 24 inches long (that's 2 whole feet!)
  • I had lots of visitors--first Aunt Lisa and Aunt Steph came to see me, and then Bubbie, Zaydie, and Uncle Jeremy came too!
  • I celebrated my first Chanukkah. I can tell I'm gonna like this holiday (at least better than that first Jewish tradition I took part in).
  • I took my first T ride! I slept one way, but managed to stay awake on the way home. It was...interesting.
  • Thanks to me, my parents continue their hobby of eating out--I have been a very good boy at some of Cambridge's best restaurants--or so I hear. I never get to try any of the food.
  • I have been smiling like crazy and making a lot more sounds too. No one seems to understand me quite yet, but they seem entertained, so I will keep trying!
  • I went to Dad's office for the childrens' holiday party. I got to meet all the people he works with and see where he spends all that time when he isn't with me and Mommy. Everyone was really nice, but I think Daddy should spend more time with me than with them. I hear that will happen in January, so I am really looking forward to that!
  • Perhaps most importantly (to my parents) I have slept through the night for 7 whole hours for 2 nights in a row! I really am a wonderful baby, if I do say so myself.
Some people have been complaining about the infrequency (if that's not really a word, it's ok, I'm a baby) of my blog postings. Let me remind such people I am a very busy boy with activities such as sleeping, making messes, tummy time, and creating insane amounts of laundry. So please, be patient, and I will update you about my life in the world as often I can.
